About the role
Our client is hiring a Staff Accountant based in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time role with a on-site work mode.
What you'll do
- Own portions of the monthly close including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare account reconciliations and resolve open items in a timely manner.
- Support the year-end audit and prepare PBC schedules.
- Document accounting policies and process flows.
- Partner with FP&A and the business on transaction-level questions.
What you'll bring
- 1+ years in general ledger or staff accounting roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent practical experience).
- Working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Proficiency in Excel and at least one ERP (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, SAP).
Nice to have
- CPA or CPA candidate.
- Experience supporting an external audit (Big 4 or regional firm).
- Exposure to revenue recognition under ASC 606.
